Welsh Stud Mares
We are very proud of of our Welsh Mountain Pony mares at Bellingara Stud. Each mare has been carefully selected for inclusion in our pony stud breeding programme.
Conformation and movement are given high priority, together with Welsh pony type, temperament and pedigree.
Many of our mares have been successfully capaigned in the show ring, achieving wonderful results winning at Royal and All Welsh shows.
As pony breeders, it also gives us great pleasure to see our broodmares produce foals that grow up and also go on to win at elite level.

Leilani is a beautiful young Sec A mare. Excellent bloodlines - Trentlyn, Weston Park, Imperial and Nattai. Both parents are Sydney Royal and All Welsh champions. Her sire was Supreme Welsh at Sydney Royal and her dam's sire was Supreme Welsh at the Vic All Welsh. Leilani has wonderful movement and lovely conformation.
Leilani has achieved great success in the show ring, with wins at high levels. In 2014 she won the Welsh A Broodmare class at the NSW All Welsh Show, and in 2012 won one of the highest accolades on the Australian show scene - Supreme Champion Welsh Exhibit - at Sydney Royal under well respected judge Darrell Owen of Owendale Pony Stud.

Bellingara Showgirl (above) is a stunning mare with show performances to match. She was awarded Best Foal at the NSW All Welsh and is a Sydney Royal winner. Showgirl is the full package, with a kind temperament, fantastic movement and beautiful conformation.
Showgirl is proving herself to be a great mare for our stud. Her first foal, Belligara Shogun has been retained as a stud stallion. Shogun is already a multiple winner at Sydney Royal, and also winner of Reserve Champion at the NSW All Welsh show.

We purchased Stardust as a weanling filly from Daniel Harvey of Eagle Park Welsh Stud. Her outstanding movement, beautiful colour and "look at me" presence won our hearts. She has a lot of personality, comes running for treats in the paddock and loves people. She also loves to show off in the show ring! Stardust never fails to come home from an Agricultural Show with either Champion Welsh Pony or Reserve Champion Welsh. She has competed at three Sydney Royal shows, placing highly each time amongst strong competition. In 2011 Stardust won the National Pony of the Year Yearling Welsh Filly. At the 2013 National Pony of the Year, Stardust improved on her previous result, winning the Welsh Mountain Pony 3yo Filly Class and Reserve Champion Welsh Mountain Pony Filly. We hope she will continue to perform well in the show ring, and later breed some beautiful pony foals for Bellingara Stud.

One look at Trinket's pretty face will melt your heart. She is an absolute sweety with big "Bambi" eyes and a temperament to match. Trinket has been successfully shown in hand with major successes including 1st at the 2012 NSW All Welsh show and Reserve Champion Welsh Mountain Pony at the National Capital Show.

Tigerlilly's most outstanding quality is her amazing nature. She is a lovely quiet, sweet mare who loves people and is always the first pony in the paddock to walk up for a cuddle.
Tigerlilly also has excellent conformation and is a fantastic mother.
Tigerlilly is the dam of the very successful Victorian stallion, Bellingara Taylor Made. Taylor's victories inlcude National Champion Led Welsh A, National Champion Ridden Welsh A, Runner Up Supreme Ridden Welsh Pony, Welsh Nationals 2013, and Preliminary Dressage Champion WPCS Dressage Championships.

Dalgangle Snowbell
Snowbell is an outstanding true-to-type Welsh Mountain Pony, with a long and successful show record. Her classical Welsh pony type has won her many awards, including:

Snowbell has also been very successful as a broodmare. Her daughter Bellingara Showgirl won Best Foal at the NSW All Welsh and was also a winner at Sydney Royal. Another daughter Bellingara Serena was Reserve Champion Mare at the NSW All Welsh show. Snowbell's son Bellingara Sinatra has been very successful under saddle, winning in leading rein, dressage and ridden Welsh events at Royal and All Welsh level.

Chelsea Park Lilly
Lilly is a very special mare with an endearing personality to match. Described by more than one judge as "to die for", she is beautifully conformed with super action. At the NSW All Breeds Youngstock Show 2002 she was awarded supreme Section A exhibit. The 2003 NSW All Welsh Show saw Lilly take out some major titles, including Champion Filly, Best Sec A Youngstock, and Best Foal Futurity Exhibit. In 2004, Lilly was a winner at Canberra Royal. To top this, Lilly also won the 3yo Sec A filly at Sydney Royal 2005 and also won the 4 and over Sec A mare at Sydney Royal two years running in 2006 and 2007.
Lilly has also produced some beautiful foals for us, including the very special Bellingara Leilani, winner of the 2012 Supreme Welsh Exhibit at the prestigious Sydney Royal Show.

Madison Park Knock-Out
Knock-Out was acquired by the stud for her valuable bloodlines, featuring Coed Coch, Twyford and Criban ponies. Her first major show was the 2003 NSW All Welsh, where she won the yearling Welsh Mountain Pony class from a large field of 11 entries. She also went on to win the same class at the 2004 Victorian All Welsh. At the 2004 Sydney Royal, still only a yearling, she won the Welsh Mountain Pony Filly, 2yrs and under, and was also awarded Reserve Champion Mare/Filly. In 2006 Knock-Out won the novice Broodmare class at the NSW All Welsh. Knock-Out has exceptional movement and shows exemplary Welsh type.

Dalgangle Tinsel
Tinsel is a strikingly pretty mare with excellent movement. She is a full sister to the successful stallion Dalgangle Peter Pan. Her achievements include: Supreme Led Exhibit Castle Hill Medal Shown 2003, Reserve Champion Bathurst Royal 2003, 1st Sec A mare 4-6yrs NSW All Welsh Show 2003 (UK judge Mr Edwin Prosser), 1st Sec A Mare 4y+ Sydney Royal 2004 and Reserve Champion Welsh Mountain Pony Canberra Royal Show 2004. In 2008, Tinsel placed 2nd in the open Welsh Mountain Pony Broodmare at the NSW All Welsh show.
Over the past few years, Tinsel has produced some lovely foals, including winner of the Best Foal at the 2008 NSW All Welsh ("Bellingara Troubadour") and NSW All Welsh Broodmare winner Bellingara Trinket. Tinsel consistently produces foals with outstanding temperaments and friendly personalities.
